You know what freaking sucks? getting armor to look great then realizing you need to erase it all because you colored it steel and it's supposed to be gold o.O oops! teach me not to listen to the song again BEFORE coloring just to make sure! *facedesk* heh
I can't find any of the links to this song of his but guess you'll just have to imagine heh
Here is my last image that I'd planned out for Dan The Bard from Bristol RenFaire. Took me awhile to get to finish this one. I was getting the ok on the lines from Dan and had to change some things up [my original sketch had Edwin too young lol! oops!] before I went over him in pen and colored him JUST finished coloring him right now after screwing up his armor and all @.@ heh.... Got it fixed decently enough I suppose...it's a lil...tarnished but eh-heh we gotta go with it And I did decide to add in the tack on the horse as per suggestion and agree it makes it look better Anyways, tis just another one of the characters that Dan sings about in one of his more serious songs. The man's a genius, if you haven't checked him out you need to!
I can't seem to find a link to Dan singing this song but it's basically this knight here is a noble paladin and he goes into hell to fight this evil devil to avenge a fallen town and to save everyone from the devil. It was inspired by this image here [link] and really is one of those moving songs that makes you want to truly raise a cup and toast Sir Edwin Ardeu ....
Sir Edwin Ardeu belongs to Daniel Marcotte aka Dan The Bard art done by me, Val Barry
ya know even though you coloured the armor the wrong colour to begin with you can hardly tell. Infact it looks realy good. I realy like how you did the horse int he background too. lovely hair. nice work buddy
lol! I'm just glad that it turned out ok in the end trying to work with switching the color lol! That horse is likely one of the best I've drawn o.O I'm not so good with them lol! But I really wanted to include the horse to help make the man look more like a noble knightly paladin Thanks hun!
This is great hun! I love how you aged Sir Edwin while still keeping him REALLY attractive! I also really like the armor color too! I think it's a happy mistake that you did it steel first, because it really gives the gold a kind of interesting depth! Excellent work hun!
oh good! he stayed attractive! First thing I thought when Dan said I made him too young was if I could put facial hair on him as it tends to help a person look older and he had a nice enough face for it but when Dan said that he was to stay clean shaven I worried that I might lose some of the attractiveness adding too many lines or something And I pictured him as an attractive man from the song and all ^^ So I'm really glad that he still looks good! haha! yeah it gave it an interesting burnished feel to it or something o.O lol! Mr. Mango Armor lol! I colored "mango" all over him and that really started to make it pop hehehehe... thanks sweetie!
