FaceOffInspired:SwampGoblinConcept

Inspired by Syfy's Face-Off series. Some of their different concept-ideas for their challenges get my brain cranking and I actually decided to sketch the idea that came to my mind for their Goblin King challenge. Swamp caught my attention most [though the ice ranges and desert terrain also piqued my interest but swamp really got me] and so I started musing what I'd want the creature to look like. And especially when only one or two of their creatures actually looked remotely goblinoid I really was stuck on wanted to sketch my goblin idea. I did it at work one night--yeah totally being productive, right? << >>--and so had no references but the idea so clearly apparent in my head. Just a little sketch but I actually really liked how he turned out. Especially think he'd have been WAY cooler than the swamp goblin king THEY did. Never drew him a crown or anything as this little guy almost seemed a bit like a generalized swamp goblin but figured if he had a crown he'd have some animal skulls on it and it'd be twined vines or thorny branches or something with spider webbing draping on it or something neat like that. Was trying to think of what creatures are all in the swamp exhibit at the zoo and what traits from them the goblin might have for adapting and living in the terrain as well as thinking of the black dragons and how their nostrils are so they can live in the swamps and whatnot. Was fun to play with hehehehe.
