Description

A letter would come to the inn in which Besan was staying [let's just pretend he WAS at one << >>] with an offer for the elf to seek out his gifter at the Bail's Tavern and Inn. 'If you truly wish to learn The Art then I may be able to help. I ask you to seek me out at Bail's, but know that I have a condition to my offer. I will ask that you listen to me when it is that you arrive. You may disregard my words if you so choose to do so, but I would at least have you hear me out. I am most certain you will be able to find me amongst the crowds. Few have the same glow about them that I do. ~Tune Rhythmic-Eternity' it said simply, looking as if it were written quickly though the script was still beautiful and clean.

Besan thanked the wagon driver for the ride and hopped off in front of Bail's Tavern and Inn. The note had been very mysterious. How had this person even heard of him? It wasn't though he was well known. The sender wanted him to listen...what was it he was going to be told? Only one way to find out, he supposed.

The inn looked respectable enough, and when he peered through the window, it looked homey and inviting. Besan wasn't one for crowds, but he couldn't deny he was intrigued. Just as he was about to enter, the elf saw movement out of the corner of his eye, and he whirled in that direction.

The weary bard rested atop a large boulder off to one side of the natural pathways wandering through the woods surrounding the large tavern and inn. He had returned from Celestia to find so much had changed. Time had passed so rushed compared to the wearing trials of the war in the other plane. So much strife and so much reason to weigh heavy a heart. But this particular place had reminded him of home. And perhaps it was Fate or Destiny to call him there for it was where he'd found Mylan. The little orphan girl played off near a pond and waterfall deeper into the forest on the plot owned by the establishment.

The man perked up as he spied the wagon pulling closer and the singular passenger that got out from the cart. The elf wandered along the cobblestone directly passed the fountains and stonework benches lining the pathway to peer inside the inn. Tune tilt his head and gave a nod. This was likely his man.

Unfolding huge white pinions, the half-celestial stood up and dusted himself off. With a single bound he leapt from the top of the stone to flare his wings and ease to the ground. Steely silver locks waved gently about his bronze features, soft and somewhat feminine but wise as if he'd seen much in the passed few years for so young an appearance. His dark violet eyes were studded with stars like the clearest sky at midnight as they turned to peer at the male elf shrinking back from his movement. The bard dimmed the natural glow that surrounded and permeated his entire frame and swept into an elegant bow. "Besan, I take it?" he spoke in a smooth, musical voice. "I am Tune Rhythmic-Eternity. Might I consider your presence here as acceptance to my offer?"

Besan's eyes widened at the sight of the half-celestial. He had never seen such a beautiful creature, but he quickly dismissed the thought and watched warily as the man approached. "Tune Rhythmic-Eternity, I presume?" Besan returned in time. "And yes, I am Besan." He studied the man and met his glorious eyes with his own. "You said you wanted me to listen to your words...that is your condition yes? I will listen."

A soft grin toyed at the man's feminine lips as he nod in a sagely fashion. "Aye, that is the name given to me on my rebirth and the true identity of the one before you," the bard replied eloquently. He took a deep breath and nodded in formal greeting as the other clarified that he was indeed the elf he sought. Tune flexed his large, plumed pinions before folding them behind his back. He smoothed the wrinkles from his half-shirt and then gestured with a wave of his hand. "Aye, those were my terms and I am grateful you accept them. Please...walk with me?" The man offered a tempered grin before he pivoted in place.

Strolling along the cool cobblestone pathway deeper into the wooded walks the pair passed lovely scenery. There was something homey and quaint and still ...natural...about the place. The bard folded his hands behind his back as he took a breath and lifted his gaze skyward for a moment. "I am not asking you to believe everything it is that I say and hold it firm in your heart. I will not enforce my ways on you. I only mean to try to offer insight and words of wisdom from one that has seen a lot of strife of recent." Those beautiful eyes seemed almost nostalgic in their expression and somewhat lost and weary. The light of his natural glow dimmed further for a moment before it brightened to a dull glimmer once more. "I was recently summoned to aid my father, an aged trumpet archon, on the planes of Celestia itself. Demons and other cruel creatures were trying to breach our borders and slay the just and kind. It was brutal battle. And many did fall. My father was amongst them." Tune turned to look at Besan, gesturing towards a stone bench that was nestled in a ring about a sputtering, tiered fountain. "I cannot explain the pain it is I felt at that loss. But I don't necessarily believe I have to. For I can only guess what would turn one down the path of the Black Archer's disciple could hardly be anything kind. Though it is not to say that I presume to know you well at all."

The man rested neatly on the edge of the fountain's rim. "There is an emptiness in your heart. No doubt. A pain and a void. And to rid the world of evils or the harm they would try to cause is no deed to be frowned upon. It is only that I must ask, if a decision is made in the moment of such profound despair and torment that can one truly believe it was made with a clear mind? Again," the bard shook his head, touseling his steely hair, "I cannot tell you that you follow the wrong god. That is in your heart to know and understand. But if we continue to create more darkness in the world and wallow in that pain, are our lives really benefiting? Are all of one race to be blamed for what individuals did onto us?"

Besan listened to Tune's words, a slight frown on his face. How did this strange man know so much? Was it because of the celestial blood in him? "I am...sorry for the loss of your father," he said as they walked. His eyes narrowed as Tune continued. "It was more than a moment. It was a month, and everyday gave me more reason to hate them. I understand your words about judging a race on the actions of individuals, but drow are drow. It is in their nature to be cruel, to kill and torture. The world will be a lighter, better place when they are gone."

"Thank you," Tune replied quietly for the condolences. The bard looked over towards his companion and inclined one steel-silver brow at the correction that it had been a month of some sort of cruel deed that blackened this man's smile into a frown. He tipped his head and blew out a breath. Yes, Tune Rhythmic-Eternity understood that. He had fought for what seemed tendays upon tendays only to return to the Material Plane to have lost years.

Though the man cracked a wry grin and offered a quiet, tempered chortle at the elf's words. "Ah, but I know of at least one dark elf in particular that would argue you your words, Master Besan," he murmured. "In any case, the drow were not always so cruel. They were as varied as those of elven blood, Ages in the past. And while true drow may be cruel, there are dark elves whom are not so evil. Their skin may be black but their hearts sparkle with the light of the heavens just as the night skies."

"I am aware of the histories," Besan said. "But that was ages ago, and they have now been tainted. Even Eilistraeens carry the taint of the drow." The elf sounded as if he had said this before, and indeed, he had, to those who just didn't seem to understand. "We Sheverashans do the world a service. Once a drow, always a drow."

The half-celestial was wise enough to pick up on the tone. It made his heart heavy but he knew he had no right to force any of his beliefs down another's throat. "I do not know many of the race personally and so cannot properly judge on the whole. I am one that believes in individualism in many cases, no matter. But my reasons for saying these things is simply that I have, indeed, seen far too much strife as of late. And I know the pain it causes, and only wish that the darkness in the skies depart to let a little sun shine instead of furthering the gloom." Tune tilt his head. "For to do your job you must also live in stunting your own joys. It saddens me. But your life is your own. You have listened to me and that is all that I did ask. Thank you for it." The bard stood once more and swept into a bow.

"Now, how long is it that you might devote to studying practice of the Art?"

"The sun will shine brighter in this world when the drow are gone," Besan said. "And my hppiness is trivial compared to my duties." He could understand Tune's pain, and he was not judging him, but the half-celestial did not know torment at the hands of drow, so he could not understand. But he obviously DID understand heartache. At least on that ground, they were equal.

"As long as it takes me," the elf replied.

The half-celestial bard's expression belayed that he did not truly trust in Besan's words or hold the same thought. But he did not argue the man his beliefs. For now. He had said his piece and would do what more he could but even then, he knew it would only be so much.

Tune nodded and twitched a slight grin. "Fair enough," he replied. "Then we will start with what arcane spells I might be able to teach you and when my lessons are as complete as I can offer, then I will send word to a wizard friend of mine that he might try to teach you what it is he may as well." And without further adieu, the bard stood and waved the elf on again. He led the man to a small glade near a beautiful natural falls that bubbled and frothed just to one side. There, he stooped to pick up a satchel resting against a rock alongside some other gear. Tune waved to a giggling girl romping about near the water and into the bushes, before he offered Besan out a blank book and an ink pen. "You will be needing these. Your lessons will begin now."

--And then over the course of the next few months Tune Rhythmic-Eternity, with the aid of Amrun'quessir Loyalty-Flarniel, would conduct the teaching of various different Arcane spell training with Besan, namely focusing on spells to determine and seek truths and those of protection.--

Yeah while Cresc is offering kinky seductions to a "married" male drow, his grandfather is out trying to save the world a soul at a time teaching a Sheverashan elf that not all is the darkness he sees it as. ^^; You wonder how much that celestial blood got bled in mixing the lines down the line ey? ^^; lol ;P all joking aside, yes...here's Tune's gift to Besan. He wanted to learn how to do some magic and so Tune offered to teach him a bit so long as Besan at least listened to him as he tried to impart the idea that there is too much strife in the world to just suffer it more, heh. He hopes in teaching him spells to seek the truth it will further help to bring Besan back into the light and champion the cause of ridding evil while indeed saving the innocent. We shall see if it helps ^^;

I swear Tune gets different every time I draw him lol but awe well ^^; And Besan's expression came out really nice and I like the pants I gave him though he has a tad of Elzan in his features but I blame it that after I drew Elzan's SS pic he was still sorta stuck in my head...and there's no other refs of Besie so I was kinda making him up lol

Enjoy heh ^^;
